I’ve been a big fan of all Sci-Fi universes, but I grew up with Star Wars more than any other, Seeing episodes 4, 5 and 6 in the cinema (more than once) and I used to play with Star Wars figures a lot. Now I’m much, much older, I’m still watching all the films, the new spin-off films and TV series and it has all been an inspiration for the digital drawings in the gallery below.
As I’ve been watching the Star Wars universe (on Disney+), I’ve drawn a few images of what I perceive as visually interesting, or in some cases, pivotal moments, for instance, a first meeting, or first appearance. It started, not at the beginning, but almost at the end, with ‘The Mandalorian’. I’ve drawn Grogu (or widely known as ‘Baby Yoda’, even though he isn’t) a couple of times in the past, before I’d seen a single episode of the series. So, it was impossible to resist drawing him whilst I watched, then again along with his protector, Din Djarin (aka The Mandalorian). The rest came as I watched other films or T.V. spin-off series. I hope you enjoy them.
I have been experimenting during this project, with various styles of (mostly) greyscale shading, using, digital painting, crosshatching, blurring and detailing, depending on eithe my mood, or the picture I’m working on. Some (as you’ll tell) are a few hours, others several hours, one or two even took days rather than hours.
I hope you enjoy them as I create them…

This gallery may grow a bit more. The Star Wars / George Lucas universe is a vast one, so never a lack of inspiration!
