On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me,
A Sprout.
In a pear tree.
Here’s a delightful Sprout, adorning fake wings and a fake beak.
He’s climbed up in the Pear tree to see if he can fly. To the amusement of all the jolly pears.

On the third day of Christmas, my true love gave to me,
Three French sprouts.
Typically stereotypical, non?
One in a beret and moncrome striped top, another doing the can-can and the last being a mime-artist. How do you draw a french cartoon sprout without being stereotypical?

On the fourth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me,
Four calling sprouts.
Socializing, unsocially.
Four sprouts, all oblivious to rhe world around them, because they are on their phones.

Fiiiiive Goooo-ooold Sprouts!
Ooh! They’re so shiny!
Five very shiny, golden sprouts.

On the eighth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me,
Eight sprouts a-milking.
Have you ever met a lactose-intolerant sprout?
These girls* don’t just enjoy getting the milk from the cows, they love drinking it’s calcium-rich, yummy, goodness!
*Yes, I said girls. Girls can be milkmaids too, y’know?

On the ninth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me,
Nine sprouts line-dancing.
Everybody Do-Si-Do!
In their best western attire, seven sprouts kick and turn in synchronicity.
Yee-haa!

On the tenth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me,
Ten sprouts a-leaping.
Happiness is just a hop-skip-jump away. Mentally.
Leaping along the track, these ten olympic sprouts in shorts and sports shoes, are going as fast as they can!
